| Objective: Evaluation of the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC)implementation of the results,understand the current development of health research in medicine,trends,research findings and problems,to provide guidance for the development of academic exchanges through the bibliometrics analysis of the SCI papers of NSFC funded medical science department.Methods: In 2010-2014 Science Citation Index(SCI)data,the output of NSFC funded medical science method of literature research,statistical analysis and bibliometrics,to analyze the core journals,authors,high yield and high impact papers,citation frequency and zero cited papers,comprehensive,research a quantitative and objective.Results: During 2010 to 2014,medical SCI papers is 33 829,137,2009,5999,11393 and 14291,respectively,for each year.Areas of NSFC key funding focused on oncology,pharmacology,neurology,and chemistry and so on.The top 10 areas of the total number of papers for the technology,economic,educational and cultural level is relatively developed,medical institutions of higher learning and hospitals more concentrated areas,including Shanghai,Beijing,Jiangsu,Guangdong and other provinces(cities).Cumulative number paper ranking the top 10 universities and research institutes,including Shanghai Jiaotong University,Zhongshan University,Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nanjing Medical University and so on.On distribution,95.21% of the researchers only published one or two papers.Five years,the most published NSFC funded outputs SCI medical paper journals is Plos One(2902 articles);The most total cited journals is Plos One(22044 times).During 2011 to 2014,NSFC-SCI papers geometric growth rate of 16.98%,NSFC-SCI medical papers geometric growth rate of63.31%,46.33% higher than the same period NSFC-SCI papers.NSFC-SCI medical papers' impact factor of P50(P25-P75)yearly distribution of 2.77(1.86-3.71),2.81(1.93-3.71),2.91(1.99-3.72),2.83(1.93-3.77),respectively.During 2011 to 2014, NSFC-SCI mediccal papers were 33692,where non-cited papers were 4116,accounting for 12.22%.In absolute terms,IF 0-3 journal articles total 3299 non-cited(80.15%).Conclusion: To sum up,the regional distribution of SCI papers produced by NSFC funded by the Department of medical science is too centralized and the subject distribution is not balanced.NSFC funded by the Department of Medical Sciences output SCI paper growth rate and quality improvement.NSFC sponsored by the Department of Medical Sciences output SCI zero cited papers focused on low impact journals.Advice: Fund management department should adjust funding system,encourage all regions and institutions,especially in the enthusiasm of researchers developed areas of innovation,promote the balanced development of the scientific research level in all regions of China;Fund management departments to properly support the preventive medicine,Chinese medicine and other vulnerable disciplines,and comprehensively improve the level of scientific and technological innovation in China;We should increase the weight of domestic science and technology journals in the evaluation in the system,pay more attention to the role of Chinese journals in the system of scientific research evaluation in China;We should pay attention to the cited frequency of the paper,mainly to see how many times he cited;We should distinguish between the impact factors of SCI journals. |
