Objective Observing metabolism of serum calcium and phosphate and inter media thickness(IMT)and echocardiography results of peritoneal dialysis patients with Low Calcium Dialysis and Standard Calcium Dialysis. To find out the differences between two groups,in order to provide evidences to choose the right calcium concentration dialysis. Methods Retrospectively analysis the clinical, laboratory and echocardiography results of 71 peritoneal dialysis cases,in which 14 cases using low calcium dialysis(1.25mmol/L)as the PD4 group, while there were 57 cases using standard calcium dialysis(1.75mmol/L)as the PD2 group,by their serum calcium and phosphate and immunoreactive parathyroid hormone(iPTH),inter media thickness(IMT)and echocardiography. Results ? Compared two groups, analysis showed that there were no differences in serum calcium, phosphate,iPTH,IMT or left ventricular posterior walldept(LVPWD)in 1 year and 3 year.(P>0.05)? Compared the same group between the moment starting dialysis and 1 year later.Analysis showed that in PD4 group, serum phosphate decreased after dialysis(P<0.05).While in PD2 group, serum calcium increased(P<0.05),iPTH decreased(P<0.05),IMT thickening(P<0.05),LVPWD thickening(P<0.05)1 year later. Conclusion 1.Low Calcium Dialysate maybe better for patients keeping balance of the metabolism of calcium and phosphate, and protecting the cardiovascular system.2.Standard Calcium Dialysate has an advantage for patients with severe secondary hyperparathyroidism.3.We advise choosing the right calcium concentrate dialysate personally considering patients'serum calcium, phosphate,iPTH,basic cardiovascular risk and drugs using conditions. |
