| Objective:Use Physiologic Anchorage Spee’s-wire System to treatment the adult patient with severe crowding, and the purpose of this study is to investigate the mechanical principle of canine distalmovement.Materials and methods:A 21 years old female patient with class I malocclusion and severe crowding was selected from Dalian Ortho Clinic in Feb 2015.The patient’s facial contour were symmetry,no gummy smile, with class I molar relationship, severe crowding, and deep overbite. Finally, the patient was treated by extracting four first premolars and four third molars with Pass technique. We were not used other extra affiliated anchorage enhancement appliances in oue treatment. Results:After 20 months, all the teeth were 0 aligned, the overbite and overjet are normal.Molar relationship were maintained and good occlusal relationship were also reliazed.Comparing the cephalometric of Pre-and Post-treatment,SNA decreased by 1°,U1-SN decreased by 24°,U1-NA decreased by 22°,L1-MP decreased by 10.5°,Ll-NB decreased by 11°,indicate that the upper ang lower incisors are retracted.Z angle changed form 69°to 71°and the soft tissue profile was improved.Upper first molars and lower first molar were distally tipped and mesially moved, less than 1/4 of the extraction space, which could meet the request of maximum anchorage. Conclusion:Use Physiologic Anchorage Spee’s-wire System to treatment the adult patient with severe crowding without other extra affiliated anchorage enhancement appliances, the canine can distalmove with differential moments in the first stage and the anchorage is well pritected. |
