The Effect Analysis Of Cytoreductive Surgery Combined With Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy Treatment In Advanced Epithelial Ovarian Carcinoma

ObjectiveTo analysis the effect of Cytoreductive surgery combined with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal chemotherapy(HIPEC)treatment in advanced epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC)[FIGO III and IV].MethodA respective cohort of 84 patients who were newly treated with EOC [FIGO III and IV] was recruited from Jan.2014 to July.2016 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University.Patients were categorized into two different groups based on the different methods of treatment.The HIPEC group: 31 patients were treated with CRS+HIPEC.The control group: 53 patients were treated with CRS only.Clinical effect(the CA125 level,the efficacy against ascites,Karnofsky Performance Status,adverse reactions(arrest of bone marrow nausea & vomiting)and hypoproteinemia were analyzed and comprised.ResultsThe CA125 were differed significantly decreased after the different therapy stage between the two groups: after surgery the first chemotherapy,the second chemotherapy,the third chemotherapy,the fourth chemotherapy,comprised the two of them(P=0.025,P=0.039,P=0.035,P=0.001,respectively);and the efficacy against ascites was better in HIPEC group(81.8%)than in control group(54.7%)(P=0.017).In HIPEC group,KPS was improved than the control group(P=0.0018).However there was no significant difference in two groups in adverse reactions(P>0.05).ConclusionFor advanced EOC after the cytoreductive surgery,curative therapeutic approach of HIPEC should be considered as it may significantly decrease the level of CA125,can control the ascites and improve KPS as well,without adverse reactions and hypoproteinemia.It is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
