Ischemic stroke associated with systemic complications, prolongs hospital stay, increases economic burden, and comes with growth of mortality further. It is significant to find an effective way to prevent and treat cerebral infarction complicated with pulmonary infection. Objective:To evaluate the curative effect of salvianolic acids in treatment of cerebral infarction complicated with pneumonia,we observed the differences of NIHSS score in the onset, after 2 weeks and 3 months, and changes of ADL score after three months.Methods:110 patients with acute mild to moderate cerebral infarction complicated with pulmonary infection were randomly divided into the lung infection group and routine treatment group(the group without salvianolic acid). The lung infection group was treated with salvianolic acid injection.Another 55 cases were given salvianolate treatment who got acute cerebral infarction without pneumonia as cerebral infarction group.Every patient was evaluated neurological deficit score(NIHSS score)before treatment, after 2 weeks,3 months and the ability of daily life(Activities of Daily Living ADL)after treatment for 3 months. Each group were given the same basic treatment: Shuxuening injection,Muscular Amino Acids and Peptides and Nucleosides Injection,as well as supportive treatment including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and other treatment.Lung infection group and routine treatment group were treated with effective antibiotics to kill bacteria.Result:1.Three groups' NIHSS score decreased at 2 weeks compared with admission's,with statistical difference(P<0.05).Comparison of NIHSS score at 2 weeks,Lung infection group decreased more significantly than routine treatment group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).NIHSS score has changed at 2 weeks between Lung infection group and cerebral infarction group, but the cerebral infarction group decreased significantly, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).NIHSS score at the time point of third month decreased than the 2 weeks',with statistical significance(P<0.05).Compared with the conventional treatment group after 3 months,NIHSS score decreased significantly in lung infection group;NIHSS score of Lung infection group and cerebral infarction group decreased at 3 months, but no significant difference(P>0.05).2.The ADL of the 3 groups at third month were 34.13±16.97,35.23±16.02,43.51±20.82,respectively.ADL of Lung infection group was higher than normal group's,with statistical difference(P<0.05).Compared ADL score Between lung infection group and cerebral infarction group, the latter was slightly higher, but no statistical difference(P>0.05).3.To monitor urine routine, blood routine, myocardial enzyme and so on after 2 weeks, there was no obvious abnormality.Adverse symptoms have not appeared in patients of three groups during the medication period.conclusion: 1.Pulmonary infection delays the recovery of neurological function in acute mild to moderate cerebral infarction at 2 weeks, but does not affect the ability of daily life and the recovery of nerve function after 3 months.2.In the acute stage, the use of salvianolic acid could improve the neurological deficits and the ability of daily living in patients with acute cerebral infarction at 3 months.3.Salvianolic acid injection can improve the nerve function and the ability of daily life in acute mild to moderate ischemic stroke complicated with pneumonia.
