Objective: Analyzing the characteristics of intracranial dural arteriovenous fistula and exploring the clinical effects of various endovascular treatments. Methods: Demographic(ethnic, gender, age)and clinical characteristics, clinical symptoms, admission hunt-Hess grade, modified Fisher grade, location, number and morphology of the dural arteriovenous fistula were collected from 34 patients presenting with intracranial dural arteriovenous fistula at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University between March,2013 and December,2016.T-test and chi-square test were performed to identify the effectiveness of endovascular treatment. Results: 34 patients fulfilled with inclusion criteria,of which 22 were male and 12 were female. The mean age was 51.4±11.1years old.Cases aged between 55-65 years old.Age of all patients were in Gaussianl distribution. After embolization 30 patients obtained clinical cure, accopanied with 29 patients obtained anatomic cure.Chi square test results showed there were negatively correlation between Cognard type and therapeutic effects, the lower Cognard type was the higher recovery rate. However, there were not significant differences between trans-arterial and trans-venous approachs. Conclusion: Patients between 40-60 years old have higher rate of dural arteriovenous fistula, especially among males.Endovascular treatment of dural arteriovenous fistula is a safe and effective treatment with a favorable outcome. The lower degrade of Cognard index is the higher of the recovery rate.
