Objective: In recent years, core stability training becomes a popular fitness method.More and more people and fitness centers are willing to use this method. The health status of mental workers will be investigated and analyzed in the research, and the research will give them health advices. The 12-week core stability training was carried out for the mental workers, and then some health-related physical fitness indicators will be tested. The health effects of the core stability training on the mental workers will be analyzed and discussed. So this research will provide a theoretical support for core stability training. Methods: SF-36 questionnaire, body composition test,FMS test, flexibility test, muscle endurance test, cardiopulmonary function test were conducted on 100 mental workers.Analysis and discussion of each test index will be carried out.50 mental workers were divided into two groups, the experimental group(n = 25)and the control group(n = 25)without training intervention. The t-test was used to compare the results. Results: Flexibility of the female mental workers' shoulder is significantly better than that of the male(p <0.01).The number of male mental workers' squatting in one minute(p <0.01),single leg standing on the left and right sides(p <0.01)is significantly greater than female. The number of male mental workers push-ups(p <0.01),italic pull-ups(p <0.01)was significantly larger than that of females. The lateral bridge completion time in male was significantly greater than that in female(p <0.05).The waist-to-hip ratio was significantly lower in women aged 20-29 than in 30-39 and 40-49 years(p <0.05).The number of squat one minute, left and right single-leg sitting and stand up is significantly different, female in 20 ~ 29 years old group more than 40 to 49 years old group(p <0.05).Significant improvement was observed in body pain scores and total scores(P <0.01)in the SF-36 questionnaire after core training. In the experimental group, the inline lunge and total score in the FMS test were significantly increased after the training(p <0.05).,The angle of left(p <0.01)and the right(P <0.05)side of active straight-leg raise significantly increase, and the shoulder mobility with right hand on top significantly increase in control group(p < 0.05).In experimental group, the number of squat in 1-min and the number of single leg stand up increase significantly(p <0.01).After the core training, cross stretch, side bridge,one-leg back bridge and eight-stage abdominal bridge of the experimental group were significantly improved(p <0.01).Conclusions:(1)The female mental workers' flexibility is better than men's;Coordination and stable ability is not correlate with gender;Little correlation between men and women in core muscle endurance.(2)The core stability training cannot significantly improve the mental workers' body fat percentage, waist, hip circumference,waist-to-hip ratio and cardiopulmonary function.(3)The core stability training can significantly improve the mental workers' body pain, improve their quality of life, improve the coordination and stability, improve the flexibility, improve the endurance of lower extremities and core muscle.
