Multiple myeloma(MM)currently is an incurable malignancy characterized by the aberrant expansion of clonal malignant plasma cells.With the development of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation technology,the introduction of immune-modulating drugs and proteasome inhibitors,the prognosis for patients with MM has improved.However,most patients with MM eventually relapse and develop resistance to their treatments,and relapse or progression is inevitable.In this article,we discuss the recent progress of immunotherapy for the treatment of MM,including monoclonal antibodies immune checkpoint inhibitors,dendritic cell vaccines and chimeric antigen receptor T cells. |
