| Objective:This study was designed to investigate the expressions of estrogen receptor(ER)and cell proliferation and migration-related gene(human epidermal growth factor receptor 2,Ki-67,P53)in elderly patients with breast cancer tissue, and their correlations with clinicopathological significance.Analyze of the expression of ER and it correlation of C-erbB-2,P53,Ki-67 in elderly patients with breast cancer. And the evaluation of prognosis for elderly patients with breast cancer clinical judgment and guide individualized treatment provide a reference basis. Methods :Selected 103 cases which followed up from Department of Breast Surgery, the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University, from January 2010 to April 2014 randomly. They are elderly patients with breast cancer tissue and all proven by experimental pathology. The expressions of estrogen receptor(ER)and cell proliferation and migration-related gene(human epidermal growth factor receptor 2,Ki-67,P53)in 103 cases of breast cancer were assessed byimmunohistochemistry(S-P),their correlations with clinicopathological factors were statistically analyzed and themselves correlations. All data was analyzed by SPSS 21.0 for windows.Results:(1)The positive staining of ER,was mainly allocated in cell nucleus. The positive expression rate of ER in 103 patients with breast cancer was64.1%.The expression of ER not correlated with tumor stages, lymph node status and tumor size(P>0.05).(2)The positive staining of C-erbB-2,was mainly allocated in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. The positive expression rate of C-erb B-2 in 103 patients with breast cancer was 17.5%.The expression of C-erbB-2 correlated with tumor stages, and lymph node status(P<0.05);and not correlated with tumor size(P>0.05).(3)The positive staining of P53,was mainly allocated in cell nucleus. The positive expression rate of P53 in 103 patients with breast cancer was66.0%.The expression of P53 correlated with tumor stages, and lymph node status(P<0.05);and not correlated with tumor size(P>0.05).(4)The positive staining of Ki-67,was mainly allocated in nucleus. The positive expression rate of Ki-67 in 103 patients with breast cancer was70.9%.The expression of Ki-67 correlated with tumor stages(P<0.05);and not correlated with tumor size and lymph node status(P>0.05).(5)The expression of ER was negative correlated with C-erbB-2(r=-0.314)、P53(r=-0.329)(P<0.05);and not correlated with Ki-67(P>0.05).Conclusions:(1)The highly positive expression rate of ER and low expression rate of C-erbB-2 in tumor cell,it can explain the good prognosis, low relapse and migration of elderly breast cancer.(2)The highly positive expression rate of P53 and Ki-67 is not accord with literature. It possible be the highly tumor stages in the case group.(3)Negative correlation between ER and C-erb B-2、P53 can explain highly positive expression rate of ER possible have slow proliferation and migration. And ER is not correlated with Ki-67,it is not accord with literature. It possible be the Sample differences.(4)The expression of estrogen receptor and cell proliferation and migration-related gene in elderly breast cancer has significant positive correlation, and all taking part in the occurrence, development and metastasis of elderly breast cancer.Detection of estrogen receptor(ER)and cell proliferation and migration-related gene may help to judge the clinical stage, lymph node status and prognostic of elderly breast cancer. |
