The Safety And Efficacy Of A Oncolytic Herpes Simplex Virus Type ? As A Treatment Agent On CT26 Colon Cancer Model

Traditionally,the optional treatment for cancer includes surgical resection,chemotherapy and radiotherapy,while biotherapy nowadays has become another choice in the area of oncology.It can use and stimulate the natural immune system to protect the body from infection,cancer and other diseases.By giving some naturally occurring substances,which were specificity and targeting,to interfere with tumor biological behavior and adjust the patient body anti-tumor immune response.Oncolytic virotherapy is a potential biotherapy that uses engineered viruses to treat malignancies.Viruses can be designed with biological specificity to infect cancerous cells preferentially,and to replicate in these cells exclusively.Malignant cells may be killed directly by overwhelming viral infection and lysis,which releases additional viral particles to infect neighboring cells.Viral infections may also activate the immune system.Our studies show that the oHSV2,which has the independent intellectual property rights,is a safe and effective therapeutic agent for 4T1 breast cancer model treatment.On this basis,we studied the effect on the tumor treatment of oHSV2 to colon cancer model in vivo and in vitro.We will also evaluate the safety of oHSV2 to colon cancer model by the pathological method.In this study,we chose cisplatin as a contrast agent.The vitro data showed that oHSV2 could infect the CT26 cells and was highly oncolytic;in vivo experiments,it showed that the use oHSV2 decreased the tumor growth rate significantly,and prolonged the median survival period of mice.The effect of oHSV2 was superior to cisplatin.In addition,oHSV2 has high biological safety.At the same time of antitumor,oHSV2 also can improve the immune function of mice.Therefore,we think oHSV2 for CT26 colon cancer model is a safe and effective treatment method in mice.
