| Research backgroundCalcaneodynia is a very common foot disease in clinical study of orthopaedics.It is usually a chronic disease which patient hardly aware at early stage.Attention is paid to this disease when the symptom has appeared such as painful.It is not easy to completely treat this chronic disease.Therefore,it has caused many inconveniences to a patient’s daily life.Based on the number of clinical study and different symptoms of the disease,we have a long history in providing treatment on this disease.In the past few centuries,experts in our country has conducted different treatments to cure this disease.Even with different theories and methods,experts are still searching for the perfect solution.Nowadays,advance level of technology helped medical science to build better knowledge in calcaneodynia.It also helps the experts to develop better treatment on this disease.According to modern medical science,calcaneodynia is caused by plantar fascia damage、heel pad lesion、calcaneal spurand other factors.Some common treatments for calcaneodynia are including partly physicotherapeutics、foot active functional exercise and night splint fixed.This is to reduce or cure the phlogosis of heel as well as to reduce the painfulness.With the advance technology of biomechanical in recent years,several tests have been conducted to determine the foot situation under different level of bear load.The results have been used to made insole for calcaneodynia patients and the outcome was good.However,this method has not been widely used due to too rely on science and technology as well as cost factor.Partial treatment is a common treatment method in clinical study of orthopaedics.It helps patient to achieve pain relief effect quickly.Experts also aware about the side effects caused by glucocorticoid to patient.Recently,plasma injection was used as a method to be reported in the journal.However,the clinical results were not still clear.For different option,patient can choose to conduct surgery as a treatment method.Surgery do helps to cure the disease in a more accurate way,but it also consists of the risk the get infection after surgery.Research ObjectiveWe have made a conclusion about the theory and practical experience through all the treatment methods have been conducted by traditional medical science in the past few centuries.To create treatment product based on traditional theory,make it into powder then mix with Vaseline to create jinshang 1 hao.Apply on the surface of the injury.This method has improved the experience of treatment with very low cost.Through the observation on the result from the patient who apply jinshang lhao,we were expected to achieve an improved treatment result as this method provides a cheaper and safer treatment to cure calcaneodynia.MethodBased on the principle of clinical experiment,we randomly separated 60 patients into two groups.Jinsang 1 hao was applied in test group on the surface of the injury area,while Voltaren was applied as control group on the patients.These methods were conducted twice a day and determined the result by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and clinical symptoms scoring method.Observation time was a week and lasted for three weeks continuously.The treatment process was ended early if the result has reached the standard.Results1.VAS value:the VAS value was significantly decreased compared with before and after the treatment in both test group and control group.(P<0.05)2.Calcaneodynia:symptom classifying quantization score points:the value was significantly decreased compared with before and after the treatment in both test group and control group.(P<0.05)ConclusionThe treatment effect of Calcaneodynia was signigicantly improved by using Jinshang 1 hao. |
