In the long-term medical practice, the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine is gradually established and developed. In traditional Chinese medical science, pulse diagnosis has a unique position.As a basis for diagnosis of disease, changes physical function and other information can be obtained by observing the pulse signal.Ancient physicians have attached great importance to pulse diagnosis. But the pulse signal has a greater volatility and there is a lot of interference, and the pulse diagnosis technique is difficult to grasp. In addition, the result is influenced by the doctor subjective judgment and the pulse is not easy to be recorded and preserved. All of these aspects have restricted the study of pulse.Wavelet analysis has good time-frequency localization ability, so the wavelet transform theory is used to analyze and process the pulse signal in this paper. The eigenvector of the energy of the coefficients obtained from the wavelet transform on different scales is extracted. And the characteristics of the eigenvector under different states of a large number of experimental objects are analyzed. Inspired by the theory of feature vector extraction in multi-scale space, a new idea for the analysis of pulse signals in different states is presented in this paper. The pulse signal is preprocessed by Gaussian filtering method to extract the feature of the signal preliminarily. Then the wavelet transform is carried out. A set of effective extraction and processing methods of pulse signal features are formed.The cardiovascular patients of the Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and the students of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications is selected in experiment as the experiment objects, and hundreds of pulse signals are collected using the professional equipment to realize the specific practice of this method.This topic is the use of modern scientific and technological means to explore the pulse diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine. It provides a good reference to achieve pulse objectization and study the detection method of pulse signal.
