Meta-Analysis Of Everolimus Eluting Stents Versus Zotarrolimus Eluting Stents For Treating The Patients With Coronary Artery Disease

Objective:To systematically review the safety and efficacy of everolimuseluting stents(EES)and zotarolimus-eluting stents(ZES)for treatment of coronary heart disease.Methods:Electronic database PubMed,Web of science,Cochrane Library,VIP,CNKI,CBM,Wan fang were searched to collect randomized controlled trials about EES versus ZES for patients with coronary heart disease.Two reviewers independently extracted data of included studies.The quality of literatures were assessed according to the Cochrane system evaluator's Manual(5.1.0 version)and analysis was conducted by RevMan 5.3 software.Results: There were 6 eligible RCTs with 10565 patients were enrolled,EES group,n= 5913 and ZES group,n=4652.During follow-up period,the following incidences were similar between 2 groups: all-cause death(RR=1.01,95%CI[0.85,1.20],P=0.91),cardiac death(RR=0.96,95%CI[0.76,1.21],P=0.73),myocardial infarction(RR=0.88,95%CI[0.75,1.02],P=0.10),definite and probable stent thrombosis(RR=0.79,95%CI[0.53,1.17],P=0.24),major adverse cardiovascular events(RR=0.97,95%CI [0.86,1.09],P=0.59),target lesion revascularization(RR=0.87,95%CI[0.72,1.03],P=0.11),target vessel revascularization(RR=0.94,95%CI [0.81,1.10],P=0.47),device-oriented composite endpoint(RR=0.95,95%CI [0.83,1.08],P=0.43),patient-oriented composite endpoint(RR=0.96,95%CI [0.88,1.06],P=0.43).Conclusion:The available evidence suggests that EES and ZES were equivalent in safety and efficacy for treating patients with coronary artery disease.More randomized controlled clinical trials were needed to confirm our conclusion.
