Expression And Significance Of TPX2 In Gastric Cancer

Objective To investigate expression of TPX2 in gastric tumor tissues and its clinical significance.Methods Total 142 patients with gastric cancer were included in this current study,level of TPX2 in gastric tumor tissues and the adjacent normal tissues was detected using RT-PCR and Western-blot,the expression difference of TPX2 between gastric tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues,and the relationship between TPX2 expression and clinical pathological parameters was analyzed.Results(1)The mRNA level of TPX2 in gastric tumor was significantly higher than that in adjacent normal tissues(0.1317±0.0183?0.0567±0.0108,p<0.01).(2)The protein level of TPX2 in gastric tumor tissues was also obviously higher than that in adjacent normal tissues(0.2463±0.0816?0.6158±0.2041,p<0.05).(3)The later stage of tumor staging,the higher level of TPX2 expression,and the relative expression of TPX2 was gradually increased in the patients with gastric tumor from stage I to IV(0.2945±0.0729?0.4324±0.0333?0.6902±0.0771?0.8895±0.0595,p<0.05).(4)The patients with lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer show significantly higher TPX2 expression in tumor tissues than those without lymph node metastasis(0.7250±0.1248?0.3557±0.0849,p<0.05).(5)TPX2 expression was unrelated to sex age and tumor size(p>0.05).Conclusion The gastric tumor tissues showed high expression of TPX2 and the high expression was associated with tumor staging and lymph node metastasis,which indicated TPX2 may be related with development invasion and metastasis of the patients with gastric cancer.
