Background and purposeIdiopathic basal ganglia calcification is a heterogeneous neuropsychiatric disorder, involving individuals with various motor disorders and cognitive disorders, such as migraine,Parkinson's syndrome, mental illness, dementia and cognitive disorders The Calcification is usually bilateral symmetry, common in the globus pallidus, caudate nucleus, shell nucleus, thalamus, frontal parietal brain back, can also be seen in the cerebellar dentate nucleus, cerebellar cortex and so on.Because of its calcification is not limited to the basal ganglia, some scholars recommend that it be named primary familial calcification. In order to avoid confusion, this article still uses idiopathic basal ganglia calcification instead of primary familial calcification. At present there is no idiopathic basal ganglia calcification large-scale epidemiological survey, the exact incidence is unknown, because of its clinical manifestations of diverse, severity of the severity difference is large, easy misdiagnosis missed diagnosis.Involved in the brain stem of the idiopathic basal ganglia calcification is rare, especially with the merger of other degenerative lesions similar to the characteristics of imaging performance,it is to increase the difficulty of diagnosis and uncertainty. In this paper,a case of pontine calcification with pontine cross sign of idiopathic basal ganglia calcification and review of related literature,in order to improve the clinical diagnosis of idiopathic basal ganglia calcification accuracy.MethodA retrospective analysis of a confirmed pontine calcification with pontine cross sign of Idiopathic basal ganglia calcification and the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the disease, pathogenicity, treatment and prognosis of a discussion. In order to"??????????????Fahr?Idiopathic basal ganglia calcification?Primary Family Brain Calcification"and other search terms manually from 1993 to April 2017 in April between CNKI,VIP,Wanfang and Pubmed and other databases on the brain stem involved in idiopathic basal ganglia calcification with complete case data and analysis.Results1.For the first time,a case of calcification of the pontine calcification with idiopathic basal ganglia calcification, suggesting that pontine cross sign can also occur in the idiopathic basal ganglia calcification;2.Retrieved from 1993 to April 2017 in the database on the brain stem involved in idiopathic basal ganglia calcification of the literature, found that there are few reports with complete cases.Combined with this case involving brain stem idiopathic basal ganglia calcification,a total of 6 cases of data,2 cases of family research,4cases of sporadic cases reported.Brain stem calcification may be a risk signal for idiopathic basal ganglia calcification, requiring further enlargement of the sample;3.Idiopathic basal ganglia calcification is a class of clinical and pathogenic genes with heterogeneity of pedigree disease.Conclusion1.For the first time,a case of calcification of the pontine calcification with idiopathic basal ganglia calcification, confirmed that the pontine cross sign can also appear in the idiopathic basal ganglia calcification, the specific mechanism to be further study;2.Involving the brain stem of the idiopathic basal ganglia calcification clinical rare, brain stem calcification prompted poor prognosis;3.Idiopathic basal ganglia calcification is a class of clinical and pathogenic genes with heterogeneity of pedigree disease.
