Clinical And Experimental Research Of Xuefu Tongmai Decoction In Treating Left Heart Disease Related Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Purpose: This study is to investigate the clinical efficacy and mechanism Xuefu Tongmai decoction in the treatment of left heart disease related pulmonary arterial hypertension.Methods: Thirty-six patients with left heart disease related pulmonary arterial hypertension were randomly divided into two groups: control group(conventional western medicine)and observation group(conventional western medicine plus Xuefu Tongmai decoction)contrast.The two groups of patients were treated with 4 weeks as a course of treatment,and the courses continue 4 times.Then,the patients were detected in clinical symptoms,Doppler echocardiography(mainly pulmonary artery pressure and right ventricular systolic pressure),and six-minute walking distance test.At the same time,the effects of Xuefu Tongmai decoction on blood pressure,pulmonary artery pressure,right systolic pressure,the level of CF6 and prostacyclin in rats with pulmonary arterial hypertension induced by monocrotaline(60mg / kg)were observed.Results: The effects of Xuefu Tongmai decoction was significantly better than the control group in the clinical symptoms,echocardiography,and six-minute walks test.At the same time,the results of animal experiments showed that Xuefu Tongmai decoction can improve the plasma level of prostacyclin.Conclusion: Xuefu Tongmai Decoction combined with western medicine can effectively improve the clinical symptoms in left heart disease related pulmonary arterial hypertension,the patient’s exercise tolerance and efficacy.Animal experiments have shown that the effects of improving symptoms may be achieved by improving the plasma level of prostacyclin.
