Objective The paper is engaged in measuring Esophageal varices(EV),scirrhosity of liver and spleen, reviewed scirrhosity of liver and spleen after Esophageal variceal sclerotherapy and exploring the relationship between scirrhosity of liver and spleen and EV degree through Fibro Scan(FS)technology. Methods The paper has selected 101 patients with liver cirrhosis to make stomachoscopy and confirmed none-EV group,mild-EV group,middle-EV group and severe-EV patient group. Then the paper has made scirrhosity measure of liver and spleen to four groups of patients through FS and reviewed the scirrhosity of liver and spleen to the 11 patients who are performed Esophageal variceal sclerotherapy. Results The none-EV group has 30 patients,mild-EV group patients for 17,middle-EV group patients for 27 and severe-EV patients for 27.It shows the scirrhosity of liver and spleen has obvious dependency with EV degree and increased with the enhancement of EV degree.Through ROC curve analysis, the area under the curve of scirrhosity of liver and spleen is average less than 0.7.While in scirrhosity assessment of liver and spleen, the best boundary value of severe-EV group is 38.2KPa,AUC0.958.The specificity is 93.6% and sensitivity is 96.3%.95% CI(0.919,0.997)and they are average higher than the scirrhosity of liver and spleen. Conclusions 1.The method which uses FS to measure the scirrhosity of liver and spleen can efficiently assess the EV degree of patients with liver cirrhosis;2.The predictive result of EV degree to scirrhosity of liver and spleen is more accuracy. Therefore it is worth the further spread and research.3.There is no obvious correlation between Liver stiffness and Fatty liver in liver cirrhosis patients.
