The Present Situation And Prospects Of Human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cells As A Cell Carrier In The Treatment Of Gliomas

Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(Hu MSCs)has potential,which can grow into a variety of cells,and have no immune rejection.Now MSCs is considered to be an ideal source of neural stem cells,also MSCs is the ideal cell carrier of gene therapy.Glioma grows invasively,which has no obvious boundaries around normal brain tissue.Surgery is too difficult to resect completely tumor,which will become the main source of tumor recurrence.Gene therapy has become a new means of glioma therapy.Gene carriers through certain way import between umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells to correct genetic defects or play ther roles.Human umbilical cord MSCs is bound to become a kind of more ideal source of neural stem cells,and play a bigger role in gene therapy of malignant tumor in brain.Therefore,we do a review of the human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells as a cell carrier between treatment research present situation and prospect of glioma.
