Objective: To review the long-term patency, postoperative complications and the treatment of arterio-venous graft(AVG)in patients with end stage renal disease. Methods : From April 2012 to July 2016,158 cases of PTFE hemodialysis access were followed. Results: Postoperative follow-up from 3 to 56 months(mean,18.9 months)was available for each of the 158 grafts. There were no operative deaths in the series.Postoperative complications included infection(2 cases),aneurysmal degeneration(4 cases),thrombosis(38 cases)and stenosis(55 cases).Primary patency was 72.13% at 1 year and 43.10% at 2-years,second patency was 98.36% and 93.10%,respectively.Conclusion:To establish arteriovenous graft for patients without suitable access for autologous arteriovenous fistula was feasible, optimal preparation and evaluation of blood vessels before operation may improve the operation success rate and reduce the complication. |
