Objective:Diabetic great vascular complications is one of the chronic complications of diabetes,closely associated with the patient’s disability and death.Carotid artery as human superficial artery,ultrasonic measurement which film thickness can be used for early detection of the asymptomatic carotid atherosclerotic lesions,early in the elderly to help assess atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease risk.There are many factors influencing the atherosclerosis,is now mainly discusses Hcy,TSH and diabetes carotid atherosclerosis.Methods:1.To collected endocrinology in 1999 the world health organization(WHO)diagnostic criteria of diabetes type 2 diabetes inpatients in our hospital from April 2016 to October2016,collect the morning fasting venous blood of all patients,respectively measured fasting blood glucose,blood lipids,liver and kidney function,glycosylated hemoglobin,Hcy,thyroid function.According to the detailed medical history,physical examination and auxiliary examination,excluding the impact of the findings of the system diseases,such as:high blood pressure,infectious diseases,immune and connective tissue disease,malignant tumor patients,removal of liver and kidney dysfunction patients.2.For eligible patients(n = 86)with color doppler ultrasonic diagnostic instrument testing bilateral carotid artery,be grouped according to the carotid intima-media thickness(IMT),IMT<0.9mm for carotid artery normal group,IMT≥0.9mm for the thickening of the carotid artery group.Choose the same age,sex,BMI matching as normal control group 40 cases of healthy physical examination were analyzed.3.Differences between groups using analysis of variance,the two compare use the LSD-t test,different indices were applied in Spearman rank correlation analysis,taking P<0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Results:1.Compared the IMT increased group with the healthy control group,the age,body mass index,FPG,TG,LDL-C,glycosylated hemoglobin,Hcy and TSH were significantly increased and HDL-C decreased,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The IMT normal group compared with the healthy control group:age,FPG,Hb A1 C,TSH,Hcy increased,HDL-C level is lower,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).IMT thickening group compared with IMT normal group:body mass index,FPG,TG,IMT increased significantly,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).2.There was a positive correlation between intima-media thickness(IMT)and BMI(r= 0.330,P <0.05).There was a positive correlation between IMT and Hcy(r = 0.513,P<0.01)and had no significant correlation with TSH(r = 0.039,P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Carotid intima thickening is affected by a variety of factors,Such as body mass index(BMI),FPG,TG,Hcy,TSH,etc.,where BMI and Hcy were positively correlated with IMT,the independent risk factors for atherosclerosis.2.There is no obvious correlation between IMT and TSH,and its relationship with TSH needs further study.
