Osteoporosis is a generalized bone metabolic disease which easy to cause fracture.It has some characteristic of bone loss and the microstructure of bone is destruction.Osteoporosis has become a major threat to human health.In the elderly population,the prevalence of osteoporosis is more than 50%.With the aging of society and the demographic changes in the structure,osteoporosis patients will increase year by year.The increased of fracture patients result from osteoporosis bring huge medical burden to our country and every family.The etiology of osteoporosis is complicated.It is found that the pathogenesis of osteoporosis is related to genetic factors,endocrine,age,nutrition and life style.However,the specific pathogenesis is unclear.In recent years,many studies of osteoporosis and vascular diseases associated with the study found that bone mineral density and vascular disease have a certain relationship,And put forward the concept of bone-vascular coupling.Blood oxygen metabolism is an important part of the body's energy metabolism.The abnormity of blood oxygen metabolism will lead to energy supply inadequate,which is a common pathology of a variety of diseases.Blood perfusion is the process that blood flow supply nutrients to tissue and cells through the capillary network.In this study,we investigated the relationship between blood circulation changes and bone mineral density by observing the blood perfusion of the bone marrow and the blood oxygen metabolism of the skeletal muscle.BOLD-MRI is a imaging technology that using the change of tissue oxygen saturation to make contrast.Through the BOLD signal analysis we can observe tissue blood metabolism.DCE-MRI is a frequently-used imaging technique about studying bone marrow perfusion.In this study,BOLD-MRI was used to extract feature signals from MR time-series images using various image processing methods,and the characteristic parameters of BOLD signals were obtained by semi-quantitative analysis.Correlation analysis and variance analysis were performed to study the relationship between bone mineral density and blood oxygen metabolism in skeletal muscle.DCE-MRI was used to obtain the parameters of blood perfusion in bone marrow.The two parameters were taken as independent variables,and different bone density groups as the dependent variable for multivariate logistic regression analysis.In this study,we found that there are differences between different muscle groups and between different muscle types of skeletal muscles on the function of blood circulation.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age,total blood volume of bone marrow,blood oxygen metabolism of Tibialis muscle have a significant effect on the production of osteoporosis independently,which indicating that thechanges of blood circulation in bone marrow and bone surrounding tissue is one of the incentives of osteoporosis.
