The Value Of The Essen Score Combined With Magnetic Resonance Angiography To Predict The Rate Of The Senile Stroke Recurrence

Objective: To explore the value of the Essen stroke risk score(ESRS)combined with Magnetic Resonance Angiography(MRA)to predict the rate of the senile stroke recurrence.Methods:1 The research object and the inclusion criteria: This is a retrospective observational study conducted in the First Hospital of Shijiazhuang city,Hebei province.One hundred and fifty-three cases hospitalized in our hospital between January 2014 and March 2015 were enrolled into this study.Inclusion criteria: According to the fourth national cerebrovascular disease conference,all selected patients except who suffers cardiac embolism,malignant tumor,autoimmune disease,abnormal thyroid disease,acute or chronic infection for three months,liver or kidney disease and whose disease is severe,unstable or who are not willing to join the research.2 Groups: 153 patients with the Essen stroke risk score can be divided into three groups: Low-risk group(0~3 points),mid-risk group(4~6),high-risk group(7~9 points);Magnetic Resonance Angiography according to the degree of the stenosis of blood vessels can divide the 153 patients into three groups:normal or slight stenosis group(< 50%),moderate stenosis group(50% ~75%),severe stenosis(75%~99%);the Essen stroke risk score combined with Magnetic Resonance Angiography(ESSEN-I): Low-risk group(0~3 points),mid-risk group(4~7),high-risk group(≥8 points).3 The study methods: analyze the relationship between the rate of the senile stroke recurrence and the Essen stroke risk score,Magnetic Resonance Angiography and the Essen stroke risk score combined with Magnetic Resonance Angiography.Results:1 The rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is 15.69%.2 By using the Essen stroke risk score,the low-risk(0~3 points)group is31 cases,The rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is 3.23%;the mid-risk(4~6 points)group is 72 cases,The rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is 9.72%;the high-risk(7~9 points)group is 50 cases,The rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is 32.00%.The result is statistically significant(P < 0.05).3 By using the Magnetic Resonance Angiography,the cerebrovascular normal or slight stenosis group is 37 cases,The rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is 35.41%;the moderate stenosis is 64 cases,The rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is 9.38%;the severe stenosis is 52 cases,the rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is 30.77%,the result is statistically significant(P < 0.05).4 By using the Essen stroke risk score combined with Magnetic Resonance Angiography(ESSEN-I),the low-risk(0~3 points)group is 15 cases,The rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is 0%;the mid-risk(4~7 points)group is 68 cases,The rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1year is 5.88%;the high-risk(≥8 points)group is 70 cases,The rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is 28.57%.the result was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: For the elderly,compared with using the Essen stroke risk score,using the Essen stroke risk score combined with Magnetic Resonance Angiography to predict the rate of the senile stroke recurrence after 1 year is better.
