Objective: The main purpose of this study was to explore the antibacterial properties and antibacterial duration of pure titanium after inmersing in an organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution.Methods:1 Antimicrobial properties experimentAfter grinding,polishing and sterilization,120 pure titanium specimens were randomly divided into six groups: A,B,C,D,E,F,each group has 20 specimens.Then the six groups were randomly divided into four subgroups of 1,2,3,4 respectively,each group had 5 specimens.Group A: the specimens were immersed in the 1% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution;Group B: the specimens were immersed in the 5% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution;Group C: the specimens were immersed in the 10% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution;Group D: the specimens were immersed in the 30% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution;Group E: the specimens were immersed in the 60% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution;Group F: the specimens were immersed in sterilized distilled water.Processing time of 1,2,3,4 four subgroups were 30,60,120,240 min respectively.When the specimens were taken out after processed,sterilized distilled water was used to rinse them for 10 min,natural dry,and then placed in the sterile 24 hole in the cell culture plate.After recovery,Streptococcus pneumoniae standard strains ATCC49619,was diluted with 1640 liquid medium,used the turbidimetric instrument to adjust the liquid concentration to 0.5 M.The specimens of different groups were processed separately using 1ml bacteria suspension,in 37? incubator for 24 h.Removed the specimens;wash the floating bacteria in sterilized distilled water.Then put thespecimens into 3 ml1640 liquid medium,and 1 min on the oscillator oscillation.Transfer the liquid medium to turbidimetric dedicated pipe,after mixing,the turbidimetric turbidimetric was used to count the turbidity value.Sterile 1640 liquid medium was used as the blank control.The above experimental results were statistically analyzed;found that immersed in 1% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution for 120 min was the best group with excellent antibacterial properties,using the ways for the following experiments.2 Antimicrobial properties duration experiment30 pieces of pure titanium were selected and randomly divided into G?H?I?J?K five groups,each group has 6 specimens.G group: after treatment of 1% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution for 120 min,specimens circulation in 5 ? and 55 ?,respectively,in constant temperature water bath for 30 s,cycle 0 times.H group: after treatment of1% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution for 120 min,specimens circulation in 5 ? and 55 ?,respectively,in constant temperature water bath for 30 s,cycle 2500 times.I group: after treatment of1% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution for 120 min,specimens circulation in 5 ? and 55 ?,respectively,in constant temperature water bath for 30 s,cycle 5000 times.J group: after treatment of1% organic silicon quaternary ammonium salt solution for 120 min,specimens circulation in 5 ? and 55 ?,respectively,in constant temperature water bath for 30 s,cycle 10000 times.K group: only using defatted sterilization process and immersed in sterile water.The specimens of different groups were processed separately using 1ml bacteria suspension,in 37 ? incubator for 24 h.Removed the specimens;wash the floating bacteria in sterilized distilled water.Then put the specimens into 3 ml1640 liquid medium,and 1 min on the oscillator oscillation.Transfer the liquid medium to turbidimetric dedicated pipe,after mixing,the turbidimetric turbidimetric was used to count turbidity value.Sterile 1640 liquid medium was used as blank control also.3 Data processingSPSS13.0 statistical software was Used and the Kruskal Wallis H nonparametric test was selected to analysis the data of antibiotic experiment,followed by LSD post hoc test,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Dunnett t test was selected to analysis the antimicrobial properties experimental data,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:1 The results of antimicrobial properties.The results concluded that the main effect between different concentrations was different,P<0.05;But there was no statistical significance in the main effect between different processing time,P> 0.05;Interaction between groups was exist,P< 0.05.To analyze the concentration factor comparison results show that: there was no statistical differences between group A and group B,group C and group D and group E,P> 0.05;The rest of the arbitrary data between groups all have differences.After analysis found that,compared with group F,the turbidity value of group ABCDE was lower,P<0.05,suggesting that concentration of 1% and processing for120 min could make pure titanium produced antimicrobial properties.2 Antimicrobial properties of timeThe results showed that,compared with K group respectively,the turbidity value of group G,H,I was lower,statistically significant,P< 0.05;But,there was no significant difference between K group and J group,P>0.05.Conclusion:1 The silicone quaternary ammonium salt solution promoted the antibacterial properties of pure titanium,the optimum processing concentration was 1%,and the most suitable processing time was 120 min.2 After bathed in the 1% Silicone quaternary ammonium salt solution for 120 min,pure titanium can maintain its antibacterial properties for about six months.
