Objective:The purpose of this study is to analyze the risk factors of refractory epilepsy and to detect serum antinuclear antibody positive rate of three group persons in Qinghai province. The three groups included healthy group, controllable epilepsy group and the refractory epilepsy group. Methods:The research objects is patients with epilepsy diagnosed by Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University neurology outpatient and inpatient department, also includes healthy people in the medical center. The time range for collecting cases is from January 2014 to December 2016.Patients with epilepsy were divided into controllable epilepsy and refractory epilepsy according to seizure control. Each group of 50 cases were used to analyze the risk factors for refractory epilepsy. The cases were collected on the basis of sex, age, ethnicity, marital status, educational level, place of residence, age of onset, course of diseases, family history, perinatal events, history of intracranial infection, history of febrile seizures, seizures season, disease onset frequency, seizure type, clusters burst phenomenon, the efficacy of the first medication, medication compliance, onset to standardized treatment time, electroencephalogram change, imaging change, cerebrospinal fluid change, antinuclear antibody positive.Healthy group, controllable epilepsy group and refractory epilepsy group,in each group of three selected thirty people for antinuclear antibody examination. The positive rates of antinuclear antibody were compared between the three groups. The data were analyzed by SPSS21.0 statistical software. Results:The univariate analysis of the two groups show that there are significant differences in ethnicity, marital status, place of residence, age of onset, course of diseases, history of intracranial infection, history of febrile seizures, disease onset frequency, seizure type, clusters burst phenomenon, the efficacy of the first medication, medication compliance, onset to standardized treatment time(P < 0.05).The factors that are significant for univariate analysis are reanalyzed by regression model. The results show that the differences in medication compliance and the frequency of onset of the disease are statistically significant(P < 0.05).There are statistically significant differences in the positive rate of antinuclear antibodies between healthy group and epilepsy group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:Patients who have many seizures at the beginning of disease onset or who have poor drug compliance are more likely to develop refractory epilepsy.People with epilepsy living in rural areas have lower compliance than those living in urban areas.Serum antinuclear antibody and epilepsy are correlated.
