The Comparison Between TE And TC Regiment On Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy For TNBC

Objective: By comparing the effect and the adverse reactions of neoadjuvant chemotherapy between the TE program and TC program in triple negative breast cancer,we can provide reference to the choice of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for the triple negative breast cancer.Methods: We collected the patients that were diagnosed as the triple negative breast cancer by the means of coarse needle biopsy in the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from October 2015 to February 2017.They were all female without distant metastases,the age between 36 to 62 years old and did not do any relevant treatments.They were divided into two groups randomly.One group were given TE regiment(paclitaxel 175mg/m2 d1,epirubicin 90mg/m2 d1)and the other were given TC regiment(paclitaxel 175mg/m2 d1,carboplatin AUC 5 d1).A cycle is three weeks.After 4 cycles,they should have an operation.We have recorded the rusults before and after the neoadjuvant chemotherapy,recorded the pathological results and the adverse reactions of the two groups.Results: We collected 58 cases in total,31 cases in TE group and 27 cases in TC group.We have done statistical analysis in age and other general conditions,the difference had no statistical significance.The results of TE group are listed as follow: CR 10 cases,PR 15 cases,SD 4 cases,PD 2 cases.The objective response rate is 80.65%.5 patients obtained p CR and the p CR rate was 16.13%.The results of TC group: CR 13 cases,PR 9 cases,SD 4 cases,PD 1 cases.The ORR is 81.48%.8 patients obtained p CR and the p CR rate was 29.63%.By comparing the ORR,P = 0.935,the difference had no statistical significance.By comparing the p CR rate,P = 0.219,the difference had no statistical significance.The decreasing rate of white blood cell of the TE group was 51.61% compared with 81.48% of TC group,P = 0.017,the difference had statistical significance.The rate of losing hair of the TE group was 64.52% compared with 62.96% of TC group,P = 0.902,the difference had no statistical significance.The rate of nausea and vomit of the TE group was 67.74% compared with 66.67% of TC group,P = 0.931,the difference had no statistical significance.The decreasing rate of cardiac function of the TE group was 64.52% compared with 33.33% of TC group,P = 0.034,the difference had statistical significance.Conclusion: 1.The effective rate of TC neoadjuvant chemotherapy regimen is better than that of TE regimen for three negative breast cancer,so the TC regimen can be used as a new options in the neoadjuvant chemotherapy.2.Using TC neoadjuvant chemotherapy regimen for three negative breast cancer,the p CR rate increased significantly.This perhaps indicates a more favorable prognosis,but it still needs further validation.
