Study On Phallic And Testicular Development Of Male Aged 0?16 Years Old In Chongqing Based On GAMLSS

Objective In this paper,through studying phallic and testicular development of adolescents aged from 0 to 16 years old,to discuss and build reference range of phallic length,diameter and bilateral testicular sizes of adolescents aged from 0 to 16 years old in Chongqing,to draw percentile curve of phallic length,diameter and bilateral testicular size at different ages for providing important basis for diagnosis and treatment of disease.Methods A stratified cluster sampling survey on the measurement of penis and testicles of 2607 normal male adolescents was taken.Descriptive statistics was used to analyze and understand the characteristic of phallic and testicular data in Chongqing,the difference of growth and development of phallic and testicular sizes between urban and rural male aged from 6 to 16 years old was compared and GAMLSS fitting model was used to preliminary discuss the reference curve of P3?P5?P10?P25?P50?P75?P90 ? P95 ? P97 of phallic length and bilateral testicular volumes of adolescents aged from 0 to 16 years old.Results1.The status quo of phallic growth and development of adolescent in Chongqing The results of objects showed that there was a total of 16 age groups and 2607 normal male in the study,the penis grew obviously before 1 years old,compared with the age groups of 1~2 years old,there was statistically significant difference(P<0.01);no statistically significant difference of phallic length was found between age groups of 1~6 years old(P>0.05);the difference of phallic length between age groups of 6~11 years old were statistically significant(P<0.05);statistically significant difference of phallic length was found between age groups of 11~16 years old(P<0.01),the growth of penis at 11 years old went into rapid stage and the growth rate slowed down after 15 years old.According to the results of phallic diameter,phallic diameter grew evidently and the growth rate of 44.60%was the fastest before 1 years old,reaching the increasing peak of growth and development,the difference of phallic diameter between age groups of1~2 years old was statistically significant with independent-samples t test(P<0.01);no statistically significant difference was found between age groups of 1~6 years old(P>0.05);statistically significant difference was found between age groups of 6~11 years old(P<0.05);there was statistically significant difference of phallic length between age groups of11~16 years old(P<0.01),the growth of penis at 11 years old went into rapid stage and the growth rate slowed down after 15 years old.The development of phallic length was in accordance with that of phallic diameter and the two entered adolescence synchronously.2.The status quo of testicular growth and development in Chongqing According to the results,there were 102 objects aged 0~1 years old,statistically significant difference of testicular volume between age group of 1 years old and 1~2 years old was found(P<0.01);Testicles of age groups of 1~3 years old grew a little slowly and no statistically significant difference between adjacent two age groups(P>0.05);there was statistically significant difference between age groups of 10~16 years old(P<0.01),testicular growth at 10 years old went into rapid stage and the growth rate slowed down after 15 years old.The result of left side of testicle was the same with the result of right side.3.The relation of testicle and penis Spearson correlation results showed that the length,diameter of penis and the sizes of testicles were reciprocal positive correlation,the length of penis was correlated to the diameter of penis with spearson correlation coefficient of 0.93(r=0.93,P<0.01);the length of penis was correlated to the volume of the right side of testicle with spearson correlation coefficient of 0.89(r=0.89,P<0.01);the length of penis was correlated to the volume of the left side of testicle with spearson correlation coefficient of 0.89(r=0.89,P<0.01);the diameter of penis was correlated to the volume of the right side of testicle with spearson correlation coefficient of 0.83(r=0.883,P<0.01);the diameter of penis was correlated to the volume of the left side of testicle with spearson correlation coefficient of 0.83(r=0.83,P<0.01);the volume of the left side of testicle was correlated to that of the right side of testicle with spearson correlation coefficient of 0.99(r=0.99,P<0.01).Conclusions The penis length and volume of testicles are important indicators to measure sexual development of male children,which are closely linked with male sexual function and reproductive function.So making right study on that in line with local conditions is very important.The phallic length,diameter of male adolescent aged from 0~16 years old in Chongqing were respectively positively correlated with their age,at the same time,this study established the normal range of phallic growth and development of male adolescent at different age groups in Chongqing which is useful to find phallic diseases at more earlier stage,to rich and expand the study on adolescent sex organs development in Chongqing,to provide scientific basis for school health and other related building.
