Objective:To research the expression and relations of Human papillomavirus(HPV)16 E6 protein and Human protection of telomeres 1(POT1)in cervical squamous carcinoma,Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN),and normal cervical tissues.Methods:10 cases of normal cervical tissues(without HPV infection),30 cases of Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia tissues(including 5cases with CINI,10 cases with CINII and 15 cases with CINIII)and 40 cases of cervical squamous carcinoma tissues were collected from The first affiliated hospital of Shanxi Medical University during May 2013 to May 2016.By using immunohistochemistry SP method to detect separately the expressions of HPV16 E6 protein and POT1 protein in three cervical tissues,and analyze the relationship between HPV16 E6 protein and POT1 protein.Results:1.The expression of POT1 protein in normal cervical tissues,CIN tissues,and cervical squamous carcinoma tissues showed a gradually descending trend,and the relative difference among three groups was statistically significant(?2=19.662,P<0.05).The expression of HPV16 E6 protein in normal cervical tissues,CIN tissues,and cervical squamous carcinoma tissues showed a gradually descending trend,and the relative difference was statistically significant(?2=26.362,P<0.05).2.The expression of HPV16 E6 protein and POT1 protein in cervical squamous carcinoma tissues had no statistical significant(P >0.05),involved in all ages,clinical stage,the size of tumor and histological differentiation extent.In cervical squamous carcinoma tissues,POT1 without lymphatic metastasis is higher than that with lymphatic metastasis,the difference was statistically significant(?2=7.677,P<0.05),expression of HPV16 E6 protein associates with the presence of lymphatic metastasis,the difference was statistically significant(?2=4.912,P<0.05).3.Using Spearman correlation analysis showed that the positive rate of HPV16 E6 protein and POT1 protein had a negative correlation(rs =-0.565,P<0.01).Conclusion:The expression of HPV16 E6 protein was negatively correlated with POT1 protein in cervical squamous carcinoma tissues,its mechanism may be through HPV16 E6 protein expression inhibits POT1 proteins expression,thus promote the occurrence and development of cervical squamous carcinoma.
