Objective:1.To detect the expression of ERK2 / p-ERK2 in nasal polyps.2.To explore the clinical significance of ERK2 / p-ERK2 in the pathogenesis of NP.Methods:Thirty patients of chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps(According to EPOS 2012,diagnosis and treatment of sinusitis and essence)collected from June,2016 to December,2016 in the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University Department of Otolaryngology head and neck surgery, all had endoscopic surgery.Thirty nasal polyps specimens(experimental group)and thirty normal nasal mucosa from inferior turbinate(control group),all took from chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps patients.Using indirect immunofluorescence to detect the expression of ERK2 / p-ERK2 in experimental group and control group, meanwhile discussion about their clinical significance in the pathogenesis of NP.Results:1.Nasal polyps(Experimental group): p-ERK2 was mainly expressed in proliferative epithelial cells, inflammatory cells and glandular epithelial cells, mainly locating in the nucleus;ERK2 was mainly expressed in glandular epithelial cells, inflammatory cells, mainly locating in the cytoplasm.Normal nasal mucosa(Control group): p-ERK2 was mainly in the inflammatory cells, glandular epithelial cells, mainly locating in the nucleus;ERK2 was mainly locating in the inflammatory cells, mainly located in the cytoplasm.2.There is statistical significance for the expression of p-ERK2 between nasal polyps and the normal nasal mucosa((P <0.05);There is no statistical significance for theexpression of ERK2 between nasal polyps and normal nasal mucosa(P> 0.05).Conclusion:1.p-ERK2 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of nasal polyps.However,ERK2 may have nothing to do with the occurrence of nasal polyps.2.ERK2 was not only expressed in nasal polyps, but also normal nasal mucosa, suggesting that ERK2 might be involved in the maintenance of normal physiological function of nasal mucosa.3.RAF-1-MEK-ERK2-NF-KB may be involved in the pathogenesis of NP.
