| Objective: PEEK is known as a kind of high polymer material which possesses excelle nt physical and chemical properties,biocompatibility,mechanical properties and so on.The elasticity modulus of PEEK is closed to cancellous bone,so PEEK is very well at the prospects for biomedical applications.The article study the mechanical pr operties of CF-PEEK composite material which contains different CF mass percent.Getting the CF-PEEK parameters at aspects of flexural,tensile properties,compressio n performance,shock resistance and the stiffiness,to offer basic research for combi ning the CF-PEEK with oral subject.Methods: The CF-PEEK composite materials of d ifferent CF mass percents(0,25%,40%)getting from Nanjingshousu plastic company were made by injection moulding m ethod.The materials are machined into standard samples and tested according to GB/T9341,GB/T1040,GB/T1041,GB/Tl043 and GB/T3398 which are the standard s of bending performance test,tensile properties test,compression performance test,impact resistance test and hardness test individually.Finally get the relevant param eters.Results: The test results of the PEEK are as follows that bending strength 142.7MPa,bending modulus 3067.8MPa,tensile strength 64.7MPa,tensile modulus 3424.7MPa,compression strength 185 MPa,impact strength 102.69KJ*m2,HV 23.68.The test results of the 25%CF-PEEK are as follows that bending strength 242.8MPa,bending modulus 8102.7MPa,tensile strength 138.0MPa,tensile modulus 10714.9MPa,compression strength 643.4MPa,impact strength 73.35KJ*m2,HV28.62.The test results of the 40%CF-PEEK are as follows that bending strength 262.68 MPa,bending modulus 10838.8MPa,tensile strength 168.3MPa,tensile modulus 14272.6MPa,compression strength 815.7MPa,impact strength 54.24 KJ*m2,HV 42.32.Conclusion: Short CF can influence the flexural,tensile properties,compression performance,shock resistance and the stiffiness of PEEK composite materials.The mechanical pr operties of 40%CF-PEEK composite materials is better than that of PEEK and 25%CF-PEEK and the tensile modulus of 40%CF-PEEK is closed to that of cortic al bone. |
