| Objective: The obsessive-compulsive disorder is a common neurosis;the onset of it often occurs in childhood and adolescence, the core symptoms of obsessive-compulsive symptoms including obsessive conceptions and behaviors. As the etiology of obsessive-compulsive disorder is still unknown which lead to unsatisfied clinical recovery, and the characteristics are complexity, volatility, and it has a significant difference in prognosis. The purpose of this study is to investigate present obsessive-compulsive symptoms and related factors of medical students using Naikan Cognitive Therapy(short as NCT)to intervene the high compulsive students and evaluate its effect for the first time.Purpose of this paper is to promote the level of mental health of medical students and provide reference for clinical precaution of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Methods: This paper is constituted for two parts. One study is through random cluster sampling to provide Obsessive-compulsive Inventory-Revised(OCI-R),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Self Consistency and Congruence Sale(SCCS),Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS),Personal Evaluation Inventory(PEI),Personal Evaluation Questionnaire Analysis in Tianjin Medical University from March to May in 2016.Aim to investigate characteristics of obsessive-compulsive symptoms and factors related to the occurrence. The other is based on the first study,to screen the high obsessive-compulsive medical students with Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale though inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. Then the select ones were randomly divided into experiment group and control group, and the experimental group use NCT intervention, the control group has the same condition without the NCT intervention, and analyzed the effect of the therapy for symptoms of the medical students. Results :(1)In this study, there are 125 medical students’ obsessive-compulsive symptom shows positive, included 46 male(24.9%)and 79 male(23.8%).(2)Test results showed that boys slightly heavier than girls in Obsessive-compulsive symptoms,Washing Factor,Mixed Factor,Verification Factor in overall level of students and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01),while in the Forced Thinking Factor,Ranking Factors, there was no significant difference between gender(P > 0.05).(3)Using the Spearman correlation analysis between OCI-R’s each factor score as well as total score and Anxiety and Depression Scale score. The results showed that the obsessive-compulsive symptoms and the severity of anxiety and depression of medical students was significantly related, the results were statistically significant(P < 0.01).(4)Using Spearman correlation analysis between OCI-R’s each factor score as well as total score and Self Consistency score and each factor score. The results showed that the obsessive-compulsive symptoms of medical students and the severity of perceived social support levels showed a significant negative correlation, the results were statistically significant(P < 0.01).(5)Using Spearman correlation analysis between OCI-R’s each factor score as well as total score and Perceived Social Support score and each factor score. The results showed that the obsessive-compulsive symptoms of medical students and the severity of perceived social support levels showed a significant negative correlation, the results were statistically significant(P < 0.01).(6)Using Spearman correlation analysis between OCI-R’s each factor score as well as total score and Personal Evaluation score and each factor score. The results showed that in a certain range, positively related to severity of obsessive-compulsive symptoms of medical students and personal evaluation level, the results were statistically significant(P < 0.01).(7)There were total of 72 people in the group conformed to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria and after 7 days of NCT,the experimental group excluded 3 students while 1 in the control group.Eventually 68 people were complete the statistical analysis. After the intervention, the Obsessive-compulsive Inventory-Revised scores, obsession factor score, storage factor score, sorting factor score, and verification factor score of experimental group decreased significantly(P < 0.01),while washing factor score and mixed factor score did not change significantly(P > 0.05);the experimental group was significantly lower than the control group in the Obsessive-compulsive Inventory-Revised scores, obsession factor scores, storage factor scores, factor ranking scores, verification factor scores after the intervention(P < 0.01)and washing factor and mixing factor showed no obviousiy difference(P > 0.05).(8)The negative emotions(anxiety, depression)of the experimental group were significantly improved after the intervention(P < 0.01)and no change in the control group. The negative emotions(anxiety, depression)of the experimental group was significantly lower than the control group after the intervention(P < 0.01).(9)The experimental group showed increase in the level of self harmony after the NCT intervention, but the results were not significant(P > 0.05),the degree of harmony of self and experience decreased(P < 0.01),the control group had no significant changes. The harmonious degree in the experimental group is lower than the control group after the intervention(P < 0.01).(10)The level of Perceived Social Support Scale in the experimental group was significantly increased after the intervention(P < 0.01),and the control group had no significant changes. In the experimental group after the intervention level of perceived social support was significantly higher than the control group(P < 0.01).(11)The Personal Evaluation Inventory level of experimental group was decreased after the intervention(P < 0.01),and the control group had no significant changes. In the experimental group, the personal evaluation level was slightly lower than the control group after the intervention(P < 0.01).Conclusion:(1)The characteristics of obsessive-compulsive symptoms in medical students showed more heavier than ordinary college students, and the obsessive-compulsive symptoms of boys slightly heavier than girls.(2)Medical students showed a significant positive correlation between obsessive-compulsive symptoms and negative emotions(anxiety,depression).(3)The obsessive-compulsive symptoms and the self consistency level in medical students showed a significant negative correlation.(4)The obsessive-compulsive symptoms and perceived social support level is negatively related.(5)In a certain range,obsessive-compulsive symptoms and personal evaluation level was significantly related.(6)NCT has a significant effect in reducing the severity of the obsessive compulsion symptoms level in medical students.(7)NCT has a significant effect in easing the negative emotions of medical students.(8)NCT has an obviously effect in reducing the degree of harmony between self and experience.(9)NCT could increase the level of perceived social support in medical students.(10)NCT could reduce the high level of self evaluation in medical students. |
