Clinical Observation Upon The Treatment Of PD By Xifeng Dingchan Pill

Objective:This test observes the effect and security produced by Xifeng Dingchan Pill in treating PD with the type of insufficient of Liver and Kidney,which proves adequate medical evidence。 Methods: 80 patients who meet the diagnostic criteria of PD are divided into two groups randomly and equally;these groups are Xifeng Dingchan Pill group(40)、control group(39)(For the reason that in the course of the experinment one patient is off in control group,as well he has been recorded the incident in detail.).They are treated by basical medicines,Then the patients of Xifeng Dingchan Pill group are given Xifeng Dingchan Pill 3times a day and take1 pack every time,it depends on the treating principle of nourishing liver and kidney,nourishing yin and blood,dispelling wind and dredging collateral channels,Itlasts 12 weeks and aims to observe and analyze UPDRS,include its related factors,TCM syndrome score,S-F quality of life points and so on before and after the treatment methods,and then compares them between or within groups.Results: 1.Comparisons about their basic information between groupsThere are no obvious difference and statistical significance between groups in demographic characteristics so as age,sex,clinical course,modified Hoehn-Yahr grading and so on(P>0.05),and they are comparable.2.Comparisons about baseline between groups before treatingBefore the testing,Patients between groups in the distribution of differences are no statistical significance(P>0.05),in terms of UPDRS,TCM syndrome score,SF-36 Questionnaire,Mentation,Behavior and Mood,The Activities of Daily Living,and Motor Examination and so on,so they have comparabilities.3.Comparisons about Clinical curative effect of UPDRS in totalThe overall effective rate of the groups are 87.5%、 74.36% respectively bettwen the joint group(Xifeng Dingchan Pill combined with western medicine)and the control group(P=0.002<0.05);that is to say,the experinment group is the better.4.Comparisons about UPDRSAll these two ways of the treatment can improve symptoms of the Parkinson disease,the experinment group obtains the best curative effect.5.Comparisons about each item of the UPDRSIn fact,the UPDRS is divided into three parts in this clinical experinment(UPDRSⅠ,UPDRSⅠ,UPDRSⅠ),UPDRS Ⅰis about mentation,behavior and mood,while UPDRSⅠmeans that the activities of daily life,the last but not the least UPDRS Ⅰaims about motor function.All of these therapeutic methods can improve mentation,behavior and mood,as well as their daily life and motion function,while the experinment group gains the higher curative efficacy than the control group in these three aspects.6.Comparisons about Clinical curative efficacy of the TCM syndromeThese two ways all can improve the TCM syndrome,whereas,the curative efficacy of the experinment group is best.7.Comparisons about SF-36 QuestionnairePatients ’s viability are obviously improved by these therapeutic methods in the score of SF-36 Questionnaire.The result shows that the curative efficacy of the experinment is the better than the other group(P<0.017).8.Comparisons about the safety itemsNo adverse events and other related indicators that is of no clinical significance are occurred during or after the experinment.This clinical research proves that these two treatments are not only safe but aslo reliable.ConclusionsThis clinical experinment shows that the curative efficacy of taking Xifeng Dingchan Pill is better than the control group.On one hand,this treatment can improve the syndrome of PD and TCM,improve their quality of life and motor function and daily life and so on,finally it makes patients be ability to live a better life;on the other hand,it is safty and reliable for the PD patients.
