Objective: To explore the feasibility of the application of CT angiography in the corpse blood vessels, and the value of CT angiography in the diagnosis of vascular lesions in the corpse,to provide a theoretical basis and practical experience for the application of CT angiography technology examination in forensic pathology. Methods: take the cases which were accepted by institute of Forensic Science,Ministry of Justice,P.R.China,as the main research subject. Before(during)autopsy,CT angiography was used to make coronary artery and cerebral blood vessels imaging.And3 D reconstruction of vascular was done through CT scan data. Then autopsy and histopathological examination was conducted in accordance with the standards. The results of CT angiography were compared with autopsy and histopathological examination,to evaluate the accuracy of CT angiography in the diagnosis of vascular lesion, and the advantages and disadvantages of postmortem CT angiography. Results: CT angiography technology can make the corpse heart coronary artery and cerebrovascular imaging, and the postmortem CT angiography is consistent with the autopsy and pathological examination in the diagnosis of vascular diseases. In addition,3 d reconstruction technology can be used to observe the blood vessels in multi-angle,which is more intuitive, image.PostmortemCT angiography technology can only make a diagnosis of blood vessels, and have certain limitations on the diagnosis of the cause of death. Conclusion: The technique of postmortem CT angiography can detect vascular lesions quickly and accurately, and also can makevascular disease objective and image by 3D reconstruction.Postmortem CT angiography is still in the research stage,it cannot instead of the autopsy, but can be used as an adjunctwayto autopsy.
