Objective: to explore the pathophysiological mechanism of infection with leukocyte reduction, and provide new ideas for gene diagnosis and treatment. Methods: select the patients with diagnosis of infection with leucocyte decrease in our hospital between 2017/01 to 2017/12 as the case group, the rise in white blood cells after infection of patients with negative control group,30 cases in the same period the hospital physical examination shall be considered as normal control group, firstly,we analyze the clinical data of patients, then we take a genome-wide methylation detection, and choose key methylation site after a subsequent validation test. Results: the serum C3 and C5 in the group of white blood cells reduce up from white blood cells and normal control group were lower, conducted a genome-wide methylation detection,we analyzed methylation site, the number of differences in methylation gene number, the location of the difference in methylation site, and we analyze statistically significant enrichment of pathways and enrichment by analysis of enrichment,in the end we draw gene NOX5,WWP2,AKT2,CBARA1 may be associated with infection with white blood cells reduce disease,WWP2 gene,AKT2 gene,CBARA1 gene methylation is associated with infection to white blood cells, which especially WWP2 gene is closely linked to reduced infection with reducing white blood cells. Conclusion: abnormal secretion of chemokines, cell migration, ubiquitination and oxidative stress may be the pathogenesis of leukocyte reduction associated with infection.
