Objective : To determine TGF-?1 which express in connective tissue of vaginal anterior wall the Chinese Uyghur people and Han people in POP patients,to discuss the role of occurrence and development of TGF-?1 in POP and whether the expression of TGF-?1 has difference between the two populations.Methods: Collected the 72 POP patients with complete clinical data as experimental group;128 cases of hysterectomy due to benign lesions of the uterus were taken as control group.Using immunohistochemical method,determine the expression of TGF-?1 in the protein level of the anterior wall of the vagina.Real time fluorescence quantification(RT-PCR)method was used to detect the expression of TGF-?1 in the gene level.Results:TGF-?1 is expressed in the anterior wall of the vagina both in Uygur and Han POP patients and it is also expressed in non POP patients vaginal wall tissue.The positive expression rate of the Han experimental group and the Han control group were:(25.46%)(84.78%).The positive expression rate of the Uygur experimental group and the Uygur control group were :(20.76%)(82.40%),The expression of the experimental group was significantly less than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Between the Uygur and Han in the experimental group and the control group respectively difference were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The results of TGF-?1 mRNA expression in vaginal anterior wall were that Han experimental group expression level is(0.642±0.132),Han control group expression level is(1.011±0.154),the Uygur experimental group expression level is(0.639±0.127),the Uygur control group expression level is(1.009±0.142),In theexperimental group and the control group,the difference was statistically significant compared in experimental group and control group(P<0.05);There was no significant difference between the Uygur and Han in the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:TGF-?1 plays an important role in maintaining the function of pelvic floor,and the occurrence and development of pelvic organ prolapse disease.The expression of TGF-?1 in Uyghur and Han may have no diversity.
