Objective:To investigate the ability of the intravoxel incoherent motion imaging,quantitative computed tomography,ultrasonic real-time shear wave elastography,serological liver fibrosis index and liver function index in the early liver fibrosis in Beagle dogs which were administered with carbon tetrachloride(CCl 4).Methods:Twenty healthy adult Beagle dogs,male and female,were randomly divided into two groups:the experimental group and the control group.In the experimental group,50%CCL4 fat emulsion was injected intraperitoneally and the control group was injected with fat emulsion(0.3ml/kg body weight),twice a week.All animals were given general diet and drinking water.Imaging,serological and pathological examinations were performed every 8 weeks.All experimental animals were examined by using OPTIMA MR360 1.5T fiber MRI scanner of GE company,64-row SOMATOM Definition AS+spiral CT scanne of SIEMENS Company and Aixplorer real time shear wave ultrasonic diagnostic instrument of French Supersonic Imagine company.A total of 10 b value as 0,30,50,80,100,150,200,400,600,800mm~2/s in IVIM.The software automatically calculates the D*,D,standard ADC,and perfusion scores f value in liver tissue.The Bone Mineral Density(BMD)of liver were acquired from QCT Pro work station and Young?s elastic modulus(E)of liver were obtained from the Q-BOX of SWE.At the same time,serological liver fibrosis index and liver function index were detected.The changes of imaging parameters and serological indexes of early hepatic fibrosis in Beagle dogs were analyzed according to pathological stages.Results:There were 6 dogs survived in the control group and all the dogs in the experimental group died.The number of hepatic fibrosis models that were eventually included in the statistics was:S0=33cases,S1=11cases,S2=2cases.There was no significant differences between control group and early hepatic fibrosis group in D*,D,stand ADC,f,BMD,HA,LN,P?NP,?-C and AST(P>0.05).There were significant differences between control group and early hepatic fibrosis group in Young's modulus and ALT(P<0.05).Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that there was a low positive correlation between different pathological stages of hepatic fibrosis and Young's modulus E(r=0.300,P=0.032)and ALT(r=0.332,p=0.020).The critical value of Young's modulus E for diagnosing hepatic fibrosis?S1 was 8.735kPa,and the area under curve was 0.615,sensitivity was 40%,specificity was 93.9%.The critical value of ALT for hepatic fibrosis?S1 is 52.855 UP/L,and the area under curve was 0.772,sensitivity was85.7%,specificity was 73.2%.Conclusion:(1)SWE has a certain discrimination ability with hepatic fibrosis S0,S1+S2 Beagle dogs.The critical value of SWE in different pathological stages of hepatic fibrosis?S1 was 8.735kPa with high specificity,which suggests that SWE has a certain diagnostic value in evaluating early fibrosis in Beagle dogs.(2)ALT is valuable in the diagnosis of S0 and S1+S2 stage of hepatic fibrosis in Beagle dogs.The critical value of ALT in different pathological stages of hepatic fibrosis?S1 was 52.855 UP/L,with high sensitivity and specificity,which suggests that ALT has a better diagnostic efficacy in the evaluation of early fibrosis in Beagle dogs.(3)IVIM,QCT,serum hepatic fibrosis inde and AST were of limited value in the diagnosis of early hepatic fibrosis in Beagle dogs,which needs further study.
