Objective:To compare the inhibitory effect of lidocaine spray and gel surface anesthesia on the cardiovascular response of endotracheal intubation and extubation.Methods:Selective laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients under general anesthesia of 120cases were randomly divided into 4 groups:control group?group C,n=30?,lidocaine spray group?group L,n=30?,lidocaine gel group?n group,n=30?,and lidocaine spray with gel group?group D,n=30?.The experiment respectivelyrecorded for all the patients after entering the operating roombeforanesthesia induction?T0?,after anesthesia induction?T1?,intubation?T2?,3 minutes after intubation?T3?,immediate after extubation?T4?and 3 minutes after extubation?T5?,on six hourly mean arterial pressure?MAP?,heart rate?HR?,brain electrical double frequency index?BIS?and choking cough incidenceand degree at extubation,the incidence and degreeof post-operative sore throat after 6 hours and the incidence and degree of low blood oxygen saturation.Results:There was no significant difference in MAP,HR and BIS results between group L,group N and group D at T0,T1,T2,T3,T4 and T5 time points compared with those in group C with P>0.05.The choking cough incidence of group C was 73.3%?22/30?.Group L,N and D choking cough rates was 31.0%?9/29?,30.0%?9/30?,24.1%?7/29?which were less than group C.Choking cough degrees were also lower than that of group C.The result was statistically significant with P<0.05.The incidence of POST of L group was 3.4%?1/29?,while rates of group N,group D,group C were 36.7%?11/30?,37.9%?11/29?and 33.3%?10/30?.The incidence of POST for group L was obviously lower than group N,group D and group C,which was statistically significant with P<0.05.Low blood oxygen saturation cases occurred 7 cases in group L,4 cases in group N,5 cases in group D and only 1 case in group C.The incidences of low blood oxygen saturation in group L,N and D were obviously more than in group C and the result was statistically significant with P<0.05.Conclusion:Lidocaine spray or lidocaine gel cannot effectively restrain the cardiovascular reaction of intubation and extubation,but all of them can effectively reduce the incidence and degree of choking cough.Lidocaine spray can effectively reduce the incidence and degree of post-operative sore throat.Lidocaine spray and gel can increase the incidence of low oxygen saturation during extubation.
