This thesis includes the following three sections:Firstly, different multicomponent reactions for the synthesis of pyrrole derivatives have been reviewed.A detailed description of the pros and cons in each kind of pyrrole synthetic methods, which are sorted by the structures of substrates,is presented. The second part is a short review of the currently discovered acetylcholinesterase inhibitors from both microorganisms and Chinese medicinal herb, and the activity indexes of these inhibitors are collected.A series of pyrrole derivatives have been obtained via the synthetic methods developed in our group, and their bioactivities have been investigated, which shows good inhibitory activity of acetylcholinesterase. In the last part, small molecular catalyzed asymmetric Michael addition was discussed.Based on our previous work, the Michael additions of ?-amino malonitrile to unsaturated aldehyde were tried, and the preliminary results were obtained.
