Objective To explore the effect of the transtheoretical model based motivational interviewing on the sun protection behavior of soliders in plateau area, and to explore practical and effective intervention programs for sun-protection behaviors,so as to provide certain theoretical guidance and reference for changing the sun protection behavior of soliders in plateau area.Method Through targeted sampling method, the officers and men in the same size from two plateau forces suffering from solar dermatitis were provided by the Lanzhou general hospital. The experimental group and the control group were identified by lottery, and 42 cases of dermatitis were diagnosed from the two groups according to the criteria of diagnosis, inclusion, and exclusion by random number table method.Patients in the experimental group used the transtheoretical model based motivational interviewing to guide the sunscreen behavior, while patients in the control group used routine sunscreen behavior. Before the intervention,1,3,and 6 months of intervention, the changes in the sun protection behavior, and its stage, and the general self-efficacy scale(GSES)score, the dermatology quality of life scale(DLQI)score were compared between the experimental group and the control group. The recurrence rate of solar dermatitis was compared between the two groups at 6 months of intervention.Results1.A total of 84 patients with solar dermatitis were included in this study,42 in the experimental group and 42 in the control group. After a 6-month intervention,2 patients were lost to the experimental group,40 remained, and the control group lost 3 patients, leaving 39.There were 79 cases of solar dermatitis that were finally included and completed interventions, with an average age of(21.09±1.68)years;the average duration of exposure was(3.81±0.45)h/d.2.Before the intervention, there were no significant differences(P>0.05)in the general data, average length of exposure, etc.between the experimental and control groups.3.After 3 month of intervention, the changes of the behavioral stage of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The forward span of the behavioral stage was greater than that of the control group(P<0.01).4.After 1,3,and 6 months of intervention, the compliance of the two groups of patients with sunscreen was improved, and the compliance with the sunscreen behavior was also increased. The test group was superior to the control group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.The self-efficacy of the two groups was increased at 1,3,and 6 months after intervention(P<0.05).6.The quality of life of the patients in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group at 3 and6 months of intervention(P<0.01).7.The recurrence rate of solar dermatitis in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions1.Sunscreen behavior intervention programs based on transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing can improve the sun protection behavior in patients with solar dermatitis.2.Sunscreen behavior intervention program based on transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing can improve the compliance of sunscreen dermatitis patients with sunscreen products and sunprotection.3.Sunscreen behavior intervention program based on transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing can improve the self-efficacy of patients with solar dermatitis.4.Sunscreen behavior intervention program based on transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing can improve the quality of life of patients with solar dermatitis and reduce the recurrence rate of solar dermatitis.
