PurposeAnalysis and summary of the clinical pathological features of colorectal polyps, explore the risk factors of polyp reexamination and the best follow-up strategy after polypectomy. Methods 1.A retrospective analysis of 415 cases from January 2014 to December 2016in the Department of Gastroenterology,Ningxia Medical University Hospital clinical data of patients with colorectal polyps endoscopic resection.2.General clinical data, such as sex, age, body mass index, etc were collected for all patients.Analysis of colorectal polyps clinical and pathological features.3.Collected and recorded the first time of endoscopic polypectomy resection, the location, size, number and pathological types of polyps. The clinical and pathological characteristics of colorectal polyps were analyzed and summarized.4.Collecting and recording the time and results of colonoscopy in patients who met the inclusion criteria after the polypectomy, analyzed the clinicopathological features of the polyps, analyzed the risk factors of the polyps again and discussed the best follow-up strategy.5.Statistical processing by SPSS 21.0 statistical package. The measurement data are represented by mean standard deviation(X±S),and t test is used for statistical analysis.Count data using X~2 test. With P<0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Results1.A total of 415 eligible patients were enrolled from January 2014 to December 2016,including adenomatous polyps 303(73.01%)and non-adenomatous polyps112(26.99%).Adenoma and non-adenomatous colorectal polyps in gender, age, smoking history, polyp diameter, polyp number differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no significant difference among ethnic groups, drinking history, hypertension,BMI and polyp sites(P>0.05).The patient who is male,60 years or older, has a history of smoking, polyp diameter 10mm or higher, polyp number 3 or higher, the possibility of adenomatous polyps occurred more likely.2.Among 415 patients with colorectal polyps,165 patients underwent colposcopy examination after polypectomy.Polyps were detected again in 107 patients, and the detection rate was 64.85%.Univariate analysis showed that there was a significant difference in the gender, age, smoking history, drinking history, the diameter of polyps, the number of polyps and the pathological type between re detected polyps and no-detected polyps(P<0.05).Further analysis by binary non-conditional logistic regression showed that there were significant differences in age, smoking history, polyp diameter and polyp count(P<0.05).3.During the follow-up period after polypectomy, the rate of polyp resection in the first year was 61.68%,which was significantly higher than that of the second and third year.Conclusions1.The patient who is male,60 years or older, has a history of smoking, polyp diameter 10mm or higher, polyp number 3 or higher, the possibility of adenomatous polyps occurred more likely;2.The age, smoking history, drinking history, polyp diameter, polyp number and pathological type were the risk factors to detect polypus again. The age, smoking history, polyp diameter and the number of polyp were the independent risk factors;3.Colonoscopy polyp endoscopic resection 1 year after the colonoscopy examination is recommended.
