Objective To analyze the health status and influencing factors of rural residents in Pengyang,and put forward the countermeasures and suggestions.In addition,providing a theoretical basis for improving health status and life quality of Pengyang rural population.It may also provide a reference for further development of rural health policies and measures in rural areas.Methods Two stage stratified cluster random sampling method used to select participants,and the questionnaire survey was conducted to collect the information of rural residents in Pengyang.Qualitative data was described with constituent ratio or rito,the comparison between two groups used chi-square test.All the data analysis was achieved by SPSS21.0,and MLwi N2.26 software was used to build the multilevel model.Results A total of 2029 people from 32 villages,634 households in 10 townships in Pengyang County of Ningxia were surveyed,and the average household size was 4.22.There were 1038 male and 991 female with the ratio of 1.05:1.The people in marriage accounted for71.8%.The largest number of occupations were farmers(58.5%).The age ranged from15 to 92 years old,and the average age was(41.73 ± 17.23)years old.The results showed that the 58.3% rural residents in Pengyang had a good self-reported health.The other 41.7% reported poor health.With the increase of age,the proportion of poor self-reported health was gradually increased.Compared with the unmarried,Married people have a high risk of self-reported health(OR=3.995).And self-reported poor health risks among the people with other marital status(divorced and widowed)were 3.284 times of unmarried people.With different education level,the self-reported health status is also different.The self-reportedhealth is also different in various occupation groups.People who lived in full brick houses had a poor health than those lived in part of brick house and other types(OR=1.986,OR=2.330).Families with high income levels had lower risk of poor health(OR=0.727),compared with the sanitary toilet users,the self reported health risk of insanitation toilet is higher(OR=4.411).Two-week prevalence of residents was 13.3% in 2015.With the increase of age,the two-week prevalence increased gradually.Refer to unmarried people,the risk of two weeks of illness among married people was higher(OR=4.166).The risk of two-week illness in other marital status groups(divorced and widowed)was 4.554 times than unmarried people.With the rise of education level,the risk of two weeks illness was gradually decreased(OR=0.724).Smokers had an increased risk of this disease than non-smokers(OR=2.547).Compared with residents living in full brick houses,residents living in part of brick houses and other types had a higher risk of two weeks illness(OR=2.010).Families with middle-income and high-income had a lower risk of two weeks illness than low-income families,OR was 0.528.The prevalence of chronic diseases in Pengyang rural area was 14.5%,the standardization rate was 19.5%.with aging increasing,the risk of chronic diseases gradually increased(OR=3.384).Refer to unmarried people,married people and other marital status(divorced,widowed)were at higher risk of chronic diseases(OR=6.534,0.673).Different education levels with different prevalence of chronic diseases.Households with a family size of 5or more were at 1.891 times the risk of chronic disease among families with 1~2 people.The multilevel model fitting result showed that the data was gathered in the household level.The influencing factors of residents' self-reported health including age,marital status,education level,major occupations,housing types,economic level and types of toilet.The two-week prevalence was affected by age,marriage status,educational level,smoking,housing types and family income.The influencing factors of the prevalence of chronic diseases include age,marital status,education level and family population.conclusion 1.The two-week prevalence of rural residents was lower than the thetwo-week prevalence of rural residents in western China from the fifth national health service survey.2.The prevalence of chronic diseases in rural residents was lower than that of the fifth national health service survey.3.The multilevel model fitting result showed that the self-reported health,two week prevalence and chronic diseases were clustered at household level.The household economic factors,including housing types,family income and sanitation condition had a significant influence on the health status.
