| Objective To explore the related factors for postoperative delayed motor disturbance of limbs of meningioma in the motor area of cerebral cortex and to guide the mechanism study, the prevention and treatment of this clinical problem. Methods Analyze the clinical data of 90 patients prospectively who underwent surgical treatment located in meningiomas in the motor area of cortex in our hospital from December2015 to June 2017,according to the diagnostic criteria for delayed motor disturbance of limbs, patients were divided into the group of the delayed motor disturbance of limbs(n=48),and the group of non-delayed motor disturbance of limbs(n=42).Univariate and multivariate logistic regression methods were used to analyze the data including age, edema index, the maximum diameter of edema, size of tumor, tumor location, tumor type, vascular injury of drainage veins and the management of the superior sagittal sinus and other factors. Results Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences between these two groups in age(x~2=12.279,P<0.001),edema index(x~2=7.814,P=0.02),the maximum diameter of edema(x~2=8.282,P=0.016),vascular injury of drainage veins(x~2=17.123,P<0.001).Multivariate analysis showed that the factors related to delayed motor disturbance of limbs were age(OR=6.971,P=0.002),edema index(OR=2.233,P=0.025),and vascular injury of drainage veins(OR=10.596,P=0.000).Conclusion The age, edema index and vascular injury of drainage veins are the risk factors for postoperative delayed motor disturbance of limbs of meningioma in the motor area of cerebral cortex. |
