The Creation And Performance Of The Violin Named Shimiammaifu

Shimianmaifu is an ancient music composition of Fipa which described the scene of battle at Gai Xia between Chu and Han in 202 BC.It has been transcribed for the violin with the same name by the famous violinist and composer Mr. Yang Baozhi during 1974-2006.Compared with Shimianmaifu of Pipa,the violin playing of it has almost perfectly shown the same dramatic situation of all the fierce fighting. The research focuses on the origin of the violin playing of Shimianmaifu, music analysis, the difficulties of transcribing, performance skills of the violin, etc. Meanwhile, it discusses the integration of Chinese traditional instrumental music with the violin music. We should let the violinart take root in China, and people who love music could feel more new vitality of the violin when the traditional Chinese culture has been integrating with the art of the violin.
