Study On The Moral Functions Of Xiangxi Tujia's Folk Custom

Folk custom is summed up the experience in the long-term production and life practice, building on the basis of group common aspiration and repeated practice.Folk custom is a soft social norms, playing an very important role in regulating,restricting and controlling individual and group's behavior, which is a precious resources of moral education.Since the eighteenth big party,both the government and the party attaches great importance to the Chinese excellent traditional culture education. Tujia nationality,has a lot of folk custom resources. As an important part of China's ethnic minorities' culture, Xiangxi Tujia folk custom makes great contribution to the development of human cultural diversity, for its long history, rich connotation and the unique national character and spirit. Since China's reform and opening up, with the continuous development of economic and social, Tujia nationality and other ethnic blend each other, influence each other. On the one hand, Tujia nationality is constantly absorbing the advanced Chinese culture, on the other hand Tujia characteristics is gradually fading. The moral education function of Tujia folk custom is also ignored. Studying moral education function of Xiangxi Tujia folk custom has a certain practical significance and theoretical significance.First, this article starting from the meaning of folklore, analyses the relationship between folk custom and moral education; Secondly from six aspects: traditional dance, drama, language, dress, traditional festivals, and marriage custom, this paper introduces the basic contents of Tujia folk custom and the ideas of moral education containing in it. Xiangxi Tujia folk culture contains industriousness and great courage,unity and mutual assistance, optimistic and open-minded, mellowness and plain, filial elders and living relatives, loyal to friends and pioneering spirit. Now Xiangxi Tujia's people know about their national folk comparison, more and more influenced by the folk custom, and hope to carry forward the folk custom. At the same time, the Xiangxi Tujia lack of in-depth understanding of Tujia folk custom, staying on the surface;because of the impact of popular culture, folk custom is somehow lost; due to traditional model limit, folk moral education function is weakening. Finally for the weakening moral education function, this paper makes suggestions to play the moral functions of Xiangxi Tujia folk custom from three aspects: shifting consciousness,system guarantee and updating methods.
