Research On Test Equating Based On Multidimensional IRT

Equivalence is an important field in the research of psychology and educational of theory and practice. In the study of the fairness of the examination, the evaluation of educational quality, the construction of the question bank and the computer adaptation test, It is very important to practice and theoretical value.The development of the test theory from the classical test theory(CTT) to the development of the items response theory(IRT),IRT equivalence overcomes the limitations of CTT equivalence, and realizes the model of the relationship between the ability to be tested and the correct response probability on a specific project. IRT, however, is often not in accordance with the actual psychological and educational tests, In real situations, the test hypothesis is often simple, but the reality is that it contains or implies multiple trait dimensions.Multidimensional items response theory is one of the latest development of the test theory in the last twenty years and it is also one of the major development areas. Due to the theoretical research and practical needs, often need to be equivalence between different test, examination, score. Although test preparation to make different versions of the test as much as possible to keep the same in difficulty and stable, But in fact, it is difficult to overcome the deviation and ensure the fairness of examination. Currently, many equivalence studies are concentrated in equivalent method research, as well as the single dimensional equivalent method is extended to multidimensional domains. However, there are relatively few studies on the equivalence of single dimensional and multi-dimensional structures with different dimensions, and few studies have been made on the equivalence of simple structures with complex structures.This paper attempts to convert the equivalent of one-dimensional quiz, as well as one-dimensional and multi-dimensional structure of simple will be compare and equivalent. Firstly, using R software to generate the data, then divided two studies: the first study,unidimensional item response theory equivalence. The second study, multidimensional item response theory equivalence. The equivalent of one-dimensional and multi-dimensional equivalent operating results were compared. Different methods equivalent to one-dimensional model, multidimensional model results were compared to improve the effectiveness and flexibility of testing with a view to promoting the practical application of equal value.
