In recent years, the development of computer and the popularity of the Internet changed the way for people to accept education, a growing number of primary and secondary students spend much more time and effort to acquire knowledge from the Internet. In China, many resource bases of English subject in helping the students' learning plays an important role. However, in existing resource bases, the structure of the English key points is unreasonable, searching efficiency is low, and unable to share resources resulting in a waste of space and resources redundant between different resource systems. In this paper, we put forward a method based on ontology to construct English knowledge base, constructed the unified knowledge representation structure system of English, implement associated with other resource systems and realize resources sharing.In this paper, we propose a framework to construct a knowledge base for English elementary education from prestige teaching material. To ensure the integrity and authority of the knowledge base knowledge systems, our framework first extracts key points from national curriculum standard to ensure coverage of our knowledge base. Key points are later refined using textbooks and teaching assistant books.In the current definition extraction, the feature extraction research mainly based LT4eL projects'feature extraction which mainly pay their attention in special verbs as well as special symbols extraction. This paper presents a definition extraction method based on syntactic analysis. This method analyze the relative position between proper names and key verbs, and adopt the dependency tree to analyze sentence elements, and use them as a part of the feature set for experiment, the experiment proved that the feature set which add the feature extracted through sentence analysis, has better precision and recall rate.
