The main features of the detective novel are as follows: it describes the occurrence and detection of criminal cases; the central figure always is a detective who assists the judicial office to be engaged in espionage; the novel often depicts their wit and adventure and the plot is bizarre. In China, detective novel career began through translating foreign excellent detective novels. Through its unique role of the media, detective novel translation introduces and promotes scientific thought abroad, enriches the reader's scientific and cultural knowledge, expands their horizons, and inspires the reader's imagination and creativity. Detective novel translation as a means of scientific and culture's transmission, it has a unique influence of scientific significance.Detective novel's artistic charm is not weaker than other kinds of novels because of its inner mystery, rich content, attractive skills and development changes, it opens a magical world of art which is mystery,thriller and full of suspense for readers.In this translation report, the author chose the contemporary detective work “Murder” which was written by the novelist Varvara Klyuyeva in Russia to translate. This is a detective story. The novel focuses on the heroine Lora Aberdin killed her husband Kventin grams because of mental breakdown. In the situation of desperation, she asks a relatively well-known local lawyer Peyson for legal advice. The main body of the novel is based on the dialogues which the two sides have a detail conversation on the case occurring. According to the heroine's discourse, performance and subsequently expanded the investigation,lawyer Perry Thorne finds clues.
