This study was guided by cognitive diagnostic theory, and an Adolescent Internet Addiction Evaluation Scale with diagnostic function was constructed. It was used to measure some students who belong to two schools. After analysis of test data using G-DINA model, these results are as follows.(1) The quality of the Adolescent Internet Addiction Evaluation Scale was good on the whole and most of the items are of high discrimination.(2) Young Internet Addiction Scale as the criterion that diagnosis and evaluation of the results of the G-DINA model is ideal, with high reliability and validity.(3) A total of 633 subjects have 98 pattern of symptoms.284 people who accounted for 44.9% of all the subjects have three main symptoms of model. The probability of the 4th and 7th symptoms on the average is high. This reflects the fact that the network has great appeal to the young. They largely are difficult to control time on the Internet. And they are accustomed to the network as a kind of escape from a problem or ease the bad feelings. Internet addicts' probability of each symptom on average was significantly higher than those whose are without Internet addicts. And their behaviors are particularly outstandingly in the 2nd symptom. That is to say, when Internet addicts reduce or stop to spare their time on the Internet, they would develop these symptoms, such as a general malaise, restlessness, irritability, inattention, withdrawal reactions, sleeping disorders and so on. But these phenomena, in the absence of basic wouldn't appear on non-internet addicts.(4) More than half of the Internet addiction participants have the symptoms which belong to the pattern of "11111111". That is to say, the eight kinds of symptoms in the diagnostic criteria were found on them. Although some students have not been diagnosed with Internet addiction, but the symptoms of Internet addiction have been found more or less on them.(5) Compared with the traditional analysis method, the results by the cognitive diagnosis are more abundant. It can give the participants' detailed symptom profile information, which provides reference on prevention and intervention for adolescent Internet addiction.
