Review Of Chen Qian Novel

Chen Qian shapes many character images with the complex feather, according to her experience of living abroad, and the perspective of feminism. They are the persons who early living in the domestic and also the winners living in foreign; they are leading actors in the love and marriage life, and some of them experienced the“Cultural revolution”. She pays attention to using the perspective of humanity and new immigrant women to examine the characters, thorough into their hearts, back at home, and date back to the history, which causes wide public concern. Feminist perspective, human nature level, as well as new immigrants’ perspective is the main point of this study. This paper will with Chen Qian’s novels as the research object, and will discuss mainly from the following four parts.The first part is mainly to talk about the complex and realistic characters in Chen Qian’s novels, including male, female characters and the lonely seekers, to sum up its artistic features, also to interpret its significance and the value of writing. The second part is mainly to discuss from the lost and return of human nature in love and marriage and interpersonal relationship, the description of multiple difficulties and the continuity of father/mother’s role in writing and reshaping to analyze the human nature, which reflected in the novels. The third part will discuss the concept of new immigrants discrete and integration from the edge of the homeland plot and calm attitude, which contained in novels, according to the perspective of the new immigrants. The fourth part, will consider the narrative art as the key point, mainly including the back of narrative structure, diversification of narrative angle of view and the aspect of Chinese classical narrative strategy, to analyze the narrative writing capability.The multiple shaping of male and female characters, the writing of female demands, the showing of male’s warm and heart pain, the description of humanity, the showing of weight life under the Silicon Valley, the difficult choices of human dilemma, and the calls to the salvation of humanity and reflection in the Cultural revolution themes, as well as expressive narrative art, which constitutes the unique nature of her writing, has become the focus of her writing, and laid her position in the overseas Chinese literary world.
