China is now in the process of rapid economic development, and then more and more projects between China and other countries are increasing day by day. Accordingly, the translation of governmental and official documents is becoming more important than ever, and the requirements on translation quality are increasingly rigorous. The original Chinese text(Proposal for Jiangxi Component of Provincial Energy Efficiency Scale-up Project, World Bank(WB)/Global Environment Facility(GEF)) of this translation practice report is prepared by Jiangxi Energy Conservation Supervision Agency(JXECSA), which is used for applying grant from W/B and GEF. Hence, political characteristics are shown. The author is responsible for the translation of Chapter I-III. Based on the translation, the author prepared this practice report and analyzed specific issues relating to the translation.This report consists of four chapters. In the first chapter, the author introduces the task background, text source and requirements of the client, and analyzes the characteristics of the text and translator's competence needed. The second chapter describes translation process, which includes implementation of translating plan, approaches and principles of translation of political text, etc. The third chapter is the key part of the report. The author analyzes translation difficulties from lexical, syntactical, cultural and practical level in detail and puts forward related coping strategies. In the last chapter, the author summarizes client's feedback and evaluation, and problems yet to be solved and reflection.The author hopes that this report can facilitate translators' understanding on translation practice and provide references for them while translating the same or similar text.
