This needs to establish effective and perfect mechanism of cultural inheritance, provide culture inheritance and development of the ecological environment.Thesis consists of introduction, general situation of the historical octagonal drum, the artistic features of Inner Mongolia Hohhot manchu octagonal drum, Inner Mongolia Hohhot manchu octagonal drum inheritance mechanism of four parts. In this paper, the origin and development of Hohhot manchu octagonal drum status, cultural background, inheritance and art characteristics from several aspects such as investigation and finishing, Hohhot in the interpretation of the artistic features of manchu octagonal drum at the same time, by analyzing the octagonal drum heritage status and facing difficulties, puts forward some new ideas on octagonal drum inheritance mechanism.The first chapter, "the history of the octagonal drum overview", narrates the origin and development of Hohhot manchu octagonal drum and its cultural background, through the study of different historical documents, shows that the history of the octagonal drum back to the late Ming dynasty, the earliest to the kangxi and qianlong years passed in Hohhot in Inner Mongolia.Chapter 2:"the artistic features of Hohhot manchu octagonal drum", the author from the perspective of ethnomusicology, with an old friend new cultural center group, Inner Mongolia crosstalk club, the old artist Yu Kui good later generations for field research object is analyzed, and from nanbeiqu melody, lyrics and music system structure, the respect such as accompaniment to discusses the artistic features of the Hohhot manchu octagonal drum.The third chapter, "Hohhot manchu octagonal drum inheritance mechanism", is the studies in the evolution of the drum.
